First Limits of the Season

Took the day off and Tom and I headed for the beach to hunt and dig our razor clams. Weather was good in the morning with good wind direction. Tom shot a spoonie to start out the morning. Had a couple of pintails decoy and ended up shooting 2. We got into some mixed flocks of widgeon and teal. The skies opened up at around 10 and it started raining in sheets till about 2. The birds started to move around and we had several shoots at birds decoying. We ended up with our limits. I took a teal, 2 pintails, a spoony and 3 widgeon. Tom got a gadwall, a spoonie, 2 mallard hens, a teal, and 2 widgeon.

After our shoot we headed to Roosevelt beach. We were there early and waited till the tide came down some more. We dug our limits in 10 minutes! Fastest clam dig I've ever done. They were showing really well.
