Diesel

Well, we took the plunged and traded in the Nissan Titan for a used diesel dually. It was a tough decision, but the safety factor and keeping our investments intact was overwhelming.

We found a 2003 Dodge 3500 Laramie 5.9L Cummins turbo diesel with dual rear wheels with 36,931 miles at a dealer in Auburn. We looked at it and really liked that it was well kept and had lots of extras. It already comes with a Class V hitch, extra gauges to monitor EGTs, Fuel pressure and boost. It was sad to see the Nissan go as it was probably one of the best trucks I've ever driven. Anyway, now I gotta learn the quirks of a diesel truck. The Dodge is very familiar since we did have a 2003 1/2 ton Hemi. This one though will have to go the distance. I'm expecting a solid 7-10 years out of her.
