Another long run

Had another weather window open up last Saturday, July 18. The run out was super nice flat water. Only problem is that the fishing was slow. We only managed 8 for a few hours. I called it a day when the wind started to pick up. The N. wind that's been blowing for weeks have really messed up things for us. It's pushing the fish further southwest. These long 60+ mile runs are exhausting.

Forgot the camera so I have no pics. Drats!

1st tuna for 2009

Saturday, 7/10. I finally got to run for tuna. Weather wasn't perfect. 4 x 9 with 10 to 15 knots winds. Swells from the NW. Choppy as heck with whitecaps. The warm water was found at 45 miles but the best fishing happened at 46.27 x 125.10

We got 17 fish total with 2 lost fish. They hit everything Zuker Zucchini, cedar plugs, and Yo Zuri hyrdo mags. The mags produced about 5-6 fish. The cedar was consistent picking off singles. The zukers caught 4-5 fish.
