2009 Seattle Boat Show

So we made the yearly trek to the Seattle Boat show this time with Matt and Maria. We made a point to get some dim sum at china town before heading to the show. Yum!

The show itself seemed to lack the crowds from previous years as well as boats. This show used to be packed, it seemed a bit light. Anyway, it was fun to look at stuff and dream a little. Right off the gate I spot a super nice glass boat. It was from a new company called Bamf Boats. It was a 29 footer that looked influenced by Osprey and Talon boats. The boat layout was impressive with a fully enclosed pilot house and a true walk-around.

I saw a 26' North River Offshore on display at the NR booth and was again impressed. This boat had a full side paint in white and it looked sharp! Would love to move up soon if the economy and work would stabilize. We saw an Osprey 28' on display and was impressed with the price at around 170k with twin outboards. Of course, my absolute dream boat - the Ocean Sport 30 and 33 was on display. Boy, did their prices go up!

Fun day. It's Feb now.A few more months and I'm back on the water.
