Hail the Razor Clam

It was hailin' alright. We stay out on the coast for the weekend to dg up some clams. Stayed at the West Winds Inn near Copalis Beach. Saturday morning was cold! It snowed and hailed while we dug up the clams. The clams weren't showing real good and we had to work for our limits. We got them but it took some time.

Sunday was still cold but with the sun shining. The clams were also showing and we had our limits in no time. While we were out we checked out Westport just to get familiar with the area. I will be using this port for this season salt water adventures.

April Shakedown

Finally, a break in the weather last Saturday. I was also able to enlist the help of Tim and Clint to test the boat out. I was initially planning to head to Lake Washington, but changed my mind to somewhere closer when I thought the GPS was not working. It turned out that I forgot to turn on the "depth" switch on the dash. That was the only glitch. We were able to test out the outriggers and even test the spreader bars that I created. The spreader bars worked amazing and I can't wait to use for the Albacore.

The weather is still crappy. It's almost May and it's still freakin' cold.
