Outriggers

So I installed a pair of Taco Sport Slam outriggers with 15' poles. I also got Hal-locks for the lines. Installation was a simple bolt-on job. I did have Duane help me make some back plates to support the torque the riggers will experience when bouncing around.

Mother nature didn't seem to get the memo that spring has begun. It's been snowing on and off for the last 2 days. The weather is cold and wet, preventing me from doing a shakedown run with the boat. Enough already!

Spring Forward

It's March. The weather is starting to ease up. It's been a long and cold winter for this guy. The Springer season this year is an effin' joke. They gave us basically 10 days down on the lower river. I seriously thought about dumping my slip in Cathlamet, but after a conversation with the Harbor Master and how there's now almost a 2+ year wait, I think I'm going to hold on to it for a while. There's still Sturgeon fishing to be done.

I've been dreaming tuna fishing. I've got almost everything I need to go offshore. I'm now working on getting my lures together. I even found some time to make some daisy chains. I've got some spreader bars to make soon.
